Why Rezumz

Candidates now write to the job description. Screening has to read past it.

Recruiters get more applications than they can read, and more of them say the same thing. Rezumz does not read faster. It shows you the evidence behind every score, keeps the decision with you, and carries the hire on from there.

The screening problem is real

A candidate has seconds to say they are relevant. A recent survey and the recruiters we hear from agree on that.

62%

of HR professionals said they have rejected a candidate without fully reading the CV: 29% often and 33% occasionally. Only 36% said they always read the whole CV.

52%

of recruiters said a first look at a CV takes a minute or less, and 24% said under 30 seconds. Job seekers guessed shorter still: 56% believed it is 30 seconds or less.

Three things recruiters tell us

1. There are too many applications

One recruiter described getting around 300 CVs for a single opening, and said reviewing them one by one felt like a full-time job. Others describe hundreds of applications and trouble finding the few who are genuinely qualified. Volume is the first problem, and a faster skim makes the second one worse.

What Rezumz does: ranks the whole stack against the must-haves you agreed with the hiring manager, and lets you review in order of fit. You still decide who moves on.

2. Keywords have stopped telling you much

Candidates paste the job description into an AI tool and get a CV built from its own words. The recruiter then opens 200 CVs that use the same language, and keyword matching loses its signal. Recruiters are saying this openly.

What Rezumz does: next to each requirement it shows the line in the CV that supports it, or says plainly that nothing was found. Where the CV repeats a phrase with nothing behind it, the evidence view says what is only partly shown. You can tell substance from echo in seconds.

3. Recruiters do not fully trust AI screening

Asked which screening software they trust, recruiters answer with doubt, or say they still read candidates themselves. Some companies use AI across recruiting but not to pick or reject people. Meanwhile applicant tracking vendors are adding AI ranking, so AI-written CVs meet AI screeners, and nobody can see why a person was ranked where they were.

What Rezumz does: treats the score as advice, explains every part of it, and never moves or rejects anyone by itself. Every decision is saved with its reason, and the audit log shows who did what.

What is different about Rezumz

  • Evidence, not a bare number

Each requirement sits beside the CV line that supports it. A score you can check is a score you can use.

  • A person decides

No automatic rejection, ever. Screening answers only flag. Decisions are saved with reasons.

  • Agree the criteria first

Paste the job description, confirm the must-haves with the hiring manager, and only then read CVs.

  • The whole hire, not just screening

Structured interview feedback, approvals, offers with electronic signature, background checks, and notifications when something needs you.

  • Fairness and records built in

Hiring policies such as a waiting period before re-interviewing someone, data retention you control, and an audit trail.

  • Honest about limits

We say what we do not do and which integrations are not built yet. No claims we cannot back.

What Rezumz does not do

  • It does not detect AI-written CVs. It helps you judge what a CV actually shows.
  • It does not replace your judgement, or make the hire or reject call.
  • It does not yet connect directly to every ATS or job board. See integrations for what works today.

Questions recruiters ask

Does Rezumz reject candidates automatically?

No. Rezumz scores and shows evidence. A person moves every candidate, and a required screening answer that is No only flags the candidate for you to look at.

Can Rezumz tell whether a CV was written by AI?

No, and we do not claim to. We show where each requirement is supported by a specific line in the CV and where the same words appear with nothing behind them, so you can judge the substance.

Is the score a keyword match?

It starts as a keyword match against the must-haves, and we say so. The score is advisory. What changes the work is the evidence view beside it, so you can check the match in seconds instead of trusting a number.

Does it replace my ATS?

Not necessarily. Rezumz screens, interviews, approves offers and tracks checks. Direct connectors to other systems are not all built yet, and the integrations page says plainly which are.

Figures: Kickresume, Resume Trends Survey (published February 2026), an anonymous online survey in December 2025 of 1,004 job seekers and HR professionals, drawn from Kickresume's own user base, so it describes that group and not every recruiter. The accounts of recruiters, such as 300 CVs for one opening, come from public discussions and are examples, not statistics.
