Roofer Resume Template
For a roofer resume, we recommend Trades Rugged: Plain, dense, no-nonsense format — built for construction, skilled trades, and hands-on technical roles.
Why this template fits a roofer resume
A roofer resume needs to prove safe, weather-tight installation work backed by real completed jobs — Trades Rugged keeps the focus on that with a traditional underlined section style that reads clearly to both a hiring manager and the ATS software screening for Roofing installation/repair and Material estimation.
All 25 Rezumz templates are single-column and ATS-safe by default — this one is just the best starting point for this specific field. You can switch templates any time while editing.
What to put in the template
Order the sections as summary, work experience, skills, then education and certifications. Put your most recent and most relevant role first. Keep it to one page unless you have a long career.
Skills to fill into the skills section
Must-have: Roofing installation/repair, Material estimation, Fall-protection safety, Blueprint/measurement reading, Weatherproofing technique.
If you have them: Manufacturer certification (GAF, CertainTeed, etc.), Commercial flat-roof experience, OSHA 10/30 certification.
Example bullet points to copy the shape of
- Completed 60+ residential roofing installations annually with a zero-callback leak rate
- Reduced material waste by 12% through more accurate takeoff and estimation
- Maintained a perfect safety record across 3 years with zero fall-related incidents
Replace the figures with your own. The layout does the formatting, but the bullets do the convincing.
Does the template matter to an ATS?
Less than people think. Every Rezumz template is single-column with real text, so applicant tracking systems read it correctly. What matters more is that the keywords above appear in your skills and in your bullets.
