Data Scientist Resume Template
For a data scientist resume, we recommend Startup Sans: Confident geometric sans with a bold single accent bar — built for tech, product, and startup roles.
Why this template fits a data scientist resume
A data scientist resume needs to prove models and analysis that actually drive a business decision, not just interesting findings — Startup Sans keeps the focus on that with a clean accent-bar section style that reads clearly to both a hiring manager and the ATS software screening for Statistical modeling and Python/R.
All 25 Rezumz templates are single-column and ATS-safe by default — this one is just the best starting point for this specific field. You can switch templates any time while editing.
What to put in the template
Order the sections as summary, work experience, skills, then education and certifications. Put your most recent and most relevant role first. Keep it to one page unless you have a long career.
Skills to fill into the skills section
Must-have: Statistical modeling, Python/R, SQL, Machine learning fundamentals, Data visualization/communication.
If you have them: Deep learning framework experience (PyTorch/TensorFlow), A/B testing experience, MLOps/model-deployment experience.
Example bullet points to copy the shape of
- Built a churn-prediction model that improved retention-campaign targeting, reducing churn by 8%
- Designed and analyzed 15+ A/B tests that directly informed product roadmap decisions
- Presented data-driven findings to executive stakeholders that shifted a $1M budget allocation
Replace the figures with your own. The layout does the formatting, but the bullets do the convincing.
Does the template matter to an ATS?
Less than people think. Every Rezumz template is single-column with real text, so applicant tracking systems read it correctly. What matters more is that the keywords above appear in your skills and in your bullets.
